I am a mixed-media sculptor and jewelry maker with a deep appreciation for rusty metal objects, and the stories that discarded items carry within them. The act of collecting is often the beginning of my making process.  My studio is an overflowing trove of found and donated materials.  These bits and pieces serve both as inspiration and the building blocks of my work. I spend a lot of time experimenting with arrangements and combinations of parts, listening to what they have to say for themselves and to each other. The resulting sculptures and jewelry often contain references to Surrealist and Feminist ideas. I am interested in humor, awkwardness, the extraordinary, and the curious within the everyday experience.

I earned my BFA in Sculpture in 1999 from Maine College of Art. My work has been exhibited at DUMBO Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, OH, the Fuller Museum in Brockton, MA, and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockland, ME. I have shown my work locally at Filament Gallery, June Fitzpatrick Gallery, and Whitney Artworks

I live in Portland, Maine with my 12-year-old daughter, a pug-chihuahua dog, two formerly stray cats and six chickens.
